Prins Heerlijk focuses, together with “Stichting BUITENGEWOON leren en werken- Prins Heerlijk”, on young people who, due to various causes (disabilities, social-emotional problems, without a starting qualification), have little chance on the labor market and deserve a chance. Our goal is to offer these people opportunities, to guide them and to train them to become service-providing catering employees, sales employees or employees in healthcare, with a positive self-image and to increase their skills and self-confidence. We take our student employees seriously. That is why we listen carefully to what they want, we look carefully at what they can do, and we always think about the most suitable guidance. Because we take our young people seriously, we also set requirements. Commitment and motivation are essential. We give our student employees their own tasks and responsibilities, tailored to their capabilities. We encourage them to think for themselves how to tackle a task or solve a problem. We teach our students step-by-step to trust themselves and to work as independently as possible.
