The Role

As a Field Engineer at iwell, you’ll be part of the Operations & Field Engineering team responsible for bringing our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) to life at customer sites across Europe.

Your work ensures that every installation operates safely, efficiently, and according to the highest technical standards. You’ll collaborate closely with our Service Coordinators, Technical Project Managers, and R&D engineers to deliver exceptional installations and ongoing service.

This role suits someone hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about renewable energy technologies. You’ll be at the heart of our mission, translating technical plans into real-world results that make businesses more sustainable and energy independent.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble site EMS and control boxes for installations as planned by Service Coordinators.
Oversee and execute electrical installations and commissioning of BESS at customer sites.
Prepare service and field efficiency reports, documenting findings and operational insights.
Conduct site inspections and contribute to continuous improvement of installation and service procedures.
Diagnose and resolve minor and major faults in BESS/EMS systems, occasionally in collaboration with COPS, TPM, and R&D.

Requirements

At least 5+ years of sales experience.
Hands-on, concrete, eager, takes ownership, makes it happen
You are a self-starter who can set independent goals and meet deadlines.
You are able to explain technical solutions in simple terms to clients.
Preferably worked for an installation company, with focus on electrification challenges
Preferably Technical background
A network of clients with electrification challenges is preferred
Fluency in Dutch and English is required
