The Role

At iwell, we believe the energy transition in the Netherlands can and must accelerate. As market leaders, we drive progress with our smart batteries, preventing grid congestion and ensuring companies are not limited in their sustainable growth due to a lack of electric power. Our systems are integral to our customers' energy operations. To maintain the quality and reliability of our battery systems, we are seeking a Software Support Engineer specializing in software and network communications. In this role, you will be part of the Services team, collaborating closely with software engineers and working alongside electrotechnical engineers, asset managers, and the realization team on new battery installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage software and networking for new/existing battery installations, ensuring updates and troubleshooting.

• Set up test setups in the lab for new partners using iwell's batteries, providing operational support.

• Collaborate with the software support engineer for daily monitoring and troubleshooting of batteries.

• Contribute to iwell's growth by shaping and improving operational processes and systems.

• Provide support during urgent situations outside of office hours on a periodic basis.

Requirements

• You enjoy scripting or programming to automate tasks, are a natural problem solver with excellent communication skills, embrace trying new things and asking questions, and have a strong affinity for the energy industry.

• You have multiple years of hands-on professional experience with working in Linux.

• You can work with technologies such as Ansible, Docker, Azure and OpenVPN.

• You know how to set up a secure network, and like to keep up with the latest developments in this field.
