About your role
We are seeking an experienced Jira Implementation Specialist to lead setting up the governance, and optimization for Jira. In this role, you will champion platform integrity throughout the product development lifecycle for our mobile and audio products.

While you will manage the standard administrative suite, your focus will be on the set up of our tooling—ensuring that the workflows powering our hardware and software engineering are robust, compliant, and efficient.
You will report directly to our Head of Product, under our CTO.
Key Responsibilities & Objectives
  • Platform governance: design and maintain complex Jira workflows, permission schemes, and security levels that protect sensitive data across the company, supporting product development (smartphone and audio portfolios), go-to-market projects, and issue resolution.
  • Strategic alignment: following different processes for Hardware and Software delivery, partner with engineering and product leads to translate technical roadmaps into scalable Jira configurations (e.g., Advanced Roadmaps) that accelerate time-to-market for our mobile and audio devices and company-level projects, and that provide a "single source of truth" to the rest of the organization.
  • Foundational services: ensure that the service is consistent in experience and data model for business infrastructure development work (eg ERP) and data pipelines.
  • Changes: manage dedicated sandbox environments to test new workflows, script updates, and plugin installations before they hit the production environment used by our employees.
  • Security by design: Implement the right access principles within Jira, ensuring that access to critical data such as firmware specifications is strictly controlled and audited. Ensure the platform meets security regulations (e.g., NIS2, SOC2, GDPR) to protect internal intellectual property and customer data privacy.
  • Infrastructure & integration: Oversee the implementation and reliability of the application layer, including third-party plugins, API integrations, and the connection between Jira and our CI/CD pipelines.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for all custom scripts, workflows to ensure continuity and system transparency.
Your Skills & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably within a telecommunications or consumer electronics company.
  • Proven track record of implementing and maturing Secure Development Lifecycles (SDLs).
Technical Skills:
  • Jira mastery: expert-level configuration of Jira, including advanced permission schemes and project schemes
  • Enterprise standardisation: ability to define, implement, and govern a unified Jira standard across diverse project teams to ensure consistency, high-level data coherence, and alignment with organisational strategy.
  • Automation & scripting: proficient in automation for Jira to create complex logic and gate-check transitions within the development lifecycle.
  • Querying & Reporting: knowledge ofJQL (Jira Query Language) and experience with BI tools or Jira dashboards to monitor iteration of work health.
  • Infrastructure security: experience managing OAuth, SSO/SAML integrations, and API token governance to secure connections between Jira and external tools like GitLab.
  • Portfolio Management: hands-on experience with advanced roadmaps to align high-level milestones with low-level tasks.
  • App Governance: ability to perform security assessments on Atlassian Marketplace apps, ensuring third-party plugins do not introduce vulnerabilities into the development environment.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):
  • Familiarity with privacy-by-design principles and data protection regulations.
  • Knowledge of Confluence.
