We are looking for a Financial Accountant with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) responsibilities to strengthen our finance team. In this role, you will focus on accurate financial accounting, month-end close, and balance sheet integrity, while owning the day-to-day accounting aspects of the P2P process. You will work closely with Procurement, Operations, and external partners to ensure timely, compliant, and well-documented financial records.
This role reports to the Head of Finance.

• Ensure accurate and timely accounting of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, including invoice posting, payments, and vendor reconciliations.
• Prepare and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, with a focus on AP, accruals, and expense recognition.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity through regular reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and acting as a key contact for P2P- and AP-related topics.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, and system usage (e.g. ERP workflows).

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in financial control, accounting, or audit.
• Strong hands-on experience with Procure-to-Pay and Accounts Payable processes.
• You possess excellent analytical skills and have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and have a good understanding of financial principles.
• You are a proactive, hands-on, and curious individual who is eager to learn.
• You have a strong interest in sustainability, technology, and Fairphone's mission.
• You have strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
