As our Odoo Web Lead Developer, you will contribute to the implementation of our webshop and website. As the Web Technical lead, you will support and maintain our Odoo e-commerce platform, support and guide the developers, but also contribute to further developments. You have the experience and skills to support Fairphone in the next growth phase, to support the company on its journey to a world-class Smartphone Manufacturer.

Must-have

• You have a relevant degree (e.g. MBO, HBO, or Bachelor) in IT or possess similar levels of experience, thinking, and working.
• You have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• You have a deep understanding of Odoo webshop and its whole ecosystem (Odoo).
• You have experience with DevOps and Odoo server management.
• You have experience with Python and JavaScript programming.
• You have experience in website optimization and SEO management.
• You have experience with external API integration.
• You are familiar with code versioning (Git).
• You are accurate in your work, capable of working independently.
• You are proficient in spoken and written English. Most of us are not native English speakers, but that’s the primary language we use internally, as well as with our teams and partners worldwide.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Alumio is a plus.
• Experience with an agile way of working (sprints).
• Knowledge of web analytics.
• Good understanding of fundamental design principles.

• Technical responsibility of the Odoo web platform.
• Guide and support the web developers (3-4 people)
• Analyze, diagnose and resolve errors related to our Odoo webshop and website. Troubleshoot code and process-level problems efficiently.
• Design, code and test new stories, with a focus on the backend rather than the frontend. Executing all the implementation stages of a story, from concept to final hand-off.
• Being proactive in implementing the best web experience to deliver more conversion-boosting features for our Direct Sales channel.

8. Relocation Support - Fairphone will reimburse the cost of a one-way train (if applicable) ticket to the Netherlands, arrange an appointment at the municipality and provide all the necessary information so that your arrival and settlement in the Netherlands will be smooth and pleasant!
9. Public transport allowance – we fully cover your 2nd class commute from your home to the office.
10. AND Bike allowance – we support you with a bike purchase of up to €300, and you’ll have a yearly repair budget of up to €80, too!

12. We have our own bouldering wall at the office! You can borrow climbing shoes too and we will provide you with basic training.
